It was an all-round performance by the team managed by Julian Willock and coached by Randy M. George and Trevor M. Stevens, aka ‘West’, as six players managed double-figure scores at LB Scott Auditorium.

Boyd, Clanton & Fenner among the top scorers

Akheal J. Boyd had another superb performance, dropping in 19 points for the Blazers, while Keith C. Clanton netted 17 points and pulled 15 rebounds.

Alante M. Fenner also had 17 points, while Corey J. Sanders scored 15 points and Justin J. Johnson contributed 14

Kerry T. Richardson dropped in 13.

Leading the fight for Statia were Z. de Jesus and T. Lewis, who scored 20 points apiece.

R. Somersall ended with 11 points.

VG vs Tortola tonight!

The dominant VG Bayside Blazers are in action tonight, July 17, 2026, against some familiar faces. They will face Tortola in an all-Virgin Islands affair, with the winner advancing to the Championship on Saturday.

The 'Bring Ya Best' Basketball Tournament has a grand prize of $20,000.

The other teams in the tournament are United St Martin, Canada, Haiti, Dominica, Aruba, and the USA.
