      The governor want the navy ship in the water to protect the border but the current administration doesn't want the UK ship because it will observe all the illegal entry of drugs and smuggling of money..

    There are alot more illegal persons on the island even persons who have over stay there vacation since January but immigration and police have alot of friends that is why nothing can't be done..immigration should have records in there system who have entered the bvi and who leave..they should have system where it should have shown who is still on the island and their location..I have noticed some person have 6 months or even 9 months vacation visa..why is that such..why would they are here for that amount of time?when there isn't much to do on the island since it's a pandemic!..immigration need to fix what is broken or get someone els.

    @Junior...
    Please have an understanding that not all islands/ countries borders have re-opened and in this case, there are Venezuelan who are here illegally because even if they leave, they are no connecting flights from DR to get them home. It appears as though DR is the only in transit route in the Caribbean for those nationals, so they are stranded here. There should be documentation at the Immigration Dept to verify who is here and who or where these persons were staying.

      The Venezuelan are here because its visa free entry and Dominican republic they need visa because they have over crowded the country that is why DR put visa restrictions to travel to DR..as I am seeing the immigration department isn't doing much other than holding passports of persons who are willing to seek better employment because of previous employers not getting jobs..look at the round about in town every morning a bunch of Spanish looking for work..if that was jamaican,vincentian or guyanese labour department and immigration would have done a raid..I don't hate my DR people but what goes for one goes for all..
