FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI- A driver of an SUV was rushed to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital this afternoon, July 12, 2021, after his vehicle slammed into a light pole at Fat Hogs Bay, on the main island of Tortola.

According to reports, the accident took place around 6:30 pm.

The vehicle was allegedly heading westbound on the Blackburn Highway when it slammed into the light pole, briefly knocking out power in the area.

It is unclear what were the circumstances leading to the driver losing control of his automobile.

    The lights in fat hogs bay went off just after 7pm. I dont understand how it saying 6:30 pm unless the lights didnt go off the same time he hit the pole.

    I am happy to hear that no one was injured. People please Be safe out there as this country doesn’t want to hear anymore bad news about death right now as it is already depressing in this place. Nonetheless, when Tola people can’t drive, poor VG does have to suffer. Now we know why we had a power outage yesterday evening. Smile God loves you and I both the same. Have a blessed safe day all.
