FEDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- St Croix residents joined the nationwide No Kings Protest on Saturday, March 28, 2026, part of a coordinated day of demonstrations in over 3,200 communities across all 50 states against what organisers call authoritarianism, mass deportations and military escalation.

Recent ICE arrests on St Croix have raised significant concerns among the local community. The enforcement actions were confirmed to involve agents from US Customs and Border Protection under the Department of Homeland Security.

The operation targeted undocumented immigrants with criminal histories, leading to detentions and arrests at multiple locations.

More than 8 million people turned out at over 3,300 “No Kings” protests across all 50 states on Saturday, organisers said, calling it the largest single-day demonstration in US history. The first two rounds, in June and October 2025, drew an estimated 5 million and 7 million, respectively.
