Thank God for the Governor’s skillful and diligent work! We needed those supplies and he got them released. We are very lucky to be an OT of the UK, in these difficult times.

Now we have to be more careful on this, are these supplies infected or not? Testing them before use is important. Why were they seized? Can we really trust this? We are safe for now with only 1 case which is great at this time. We should keep it so

trump signed a document recently stating medical equipment such as ventilators, mask, gloves, and other medical supplies are not to be shipped from within the US to outside countries. in other words they would be seized. they did the same to Barbados when they ordered ventilators.

I am not trying to be funny at all. Just listen. I read last week that the N95 masks were contaminated and people who used them were getting sores around their mouths and nose. The masks were supposed to have been disinfected, re-boxed and now being used. Governor, all I am saying is please have these masks checked for fungus like the other ones were, or we will surely have another problem on our hands. Please just check a couple before distributing them. It can't hurt to check, but it will hurt if this is true.

I was confident that these items will be released for us to use in the territory. Thanks to His Excellency Governor Jaspert for a job well done. Without a doubt I will use these supplies. Sometimes we must think of the positive and don't let the devil pollute our thoughts.

@ Charley Rose.. This just might be a set-up, because they may feel we don't have enough people dying on our small island. Those masks might be infected and should be sent for testing before distributing. I won't use them until that they are safe....period!

I hope by now we understand that while we use the US dollar and enjoy certain privileges based on our relationship with neighbors in the USVI that America is our friend. We have become too reliant on this Country. It is time that we form relationships with other countries around the region instead of distancing ourselves from them. We should also find ways of sustaining our selves by revamping our fishing and agricultural industries. Our forefathers sustained and built this country basically on these two pillars. Let me repeat this, America is not a friend of any Country that has nothing in their view to plunder. We can criticize our so call mother the UK, as much as we want but your mother will always be your mother regardless of how you perceived she may treat you.
