ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With an urgent need for blood donations in the Virgin Islands, the BVI Red Cross has launched an online blood donor campaign to encourage the persons to become a part of their donor registry.

Challenges

There has been an overwhelming request for blood donations. The challenges are that persons are not coming forward to donate blood especially persons with rare blood types, a press release from BVI Red Cross on January 25, 2022, stated.

BVI Red Cross noted that of all the blood type, O negative is usually in short supply because this blood type is very rare. Another challenge is that the Virgin Islands’ population is very small and blood has a shelf life of 42 days.

COVID 19 & Blood Donations

According to the press release, if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 you should wait 14 days following a diagnosis to donate blood.

“Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine does not restrict anyone from donating blood. There is no need to wait to give blood if you received a non-replicating, inactivated, or RNA based COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca, Janssen/J&J, Moderna, Novavax, or Pfizer,” the press release stated.

Why donations are needed

Blood donations, according to BVI Red Cross, are critical in medical procedures such as surgery, treatment of cancer and management of specific diseases.

It said every year over 100 million units of blood are donated to save lives.

You Vaccinated people better stop taking the biotech weapon because you all blood is infected badly just look into it instead of commenting without checking yours. I have no reason to warn you of the danger if I didn't care. These are some serious times were living in a you need to have wisdom, understand and knowledge for everything going on. Remember the Bible have war and Nations going against each other do you really think the Almighty what you say is all good has wars and kill innocent people even kids. Think about it. Everyone blames God for all the storms, Earth quakes, etc really think hard because I know it's a haarp machine. Remember everyone got a text from flow righg before the storm hitting saying it was hitting right now. Are you telling me that God texted everyone at the same time warning us it's coming. The deception is very real

This cannot be true. You saying the Covid vaccine is spiked with a strain of HIV? Are you sure about this? Do you know of any vaccinated person who actually did annual check for HIV to verify this? Sound kinda far fetched but enquiring minds want to know. If this is true, then lots of vaccinated people has the Braggada and the person behind this is a real sinister. We need prayer and to discern the truth.

Shame on some of you, to donate blood that can save a life you want to get paid? Don’t surprise me non, if you ask a person the time of day, they want payment. Why I am saying this is not to long ago I recall walking down Main Street and I did not have my phone on me and I asked a guy what time it was, he told me and I said thank you, do you know the guy asked me if I had $5.00 I can spare?

When you donate blood you don’t get money for it but when you go to the hospital and in need of a blood transfusion, they charge you for it. They’re selling blood they’re getting for free.

PLEASE NOTE THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS, IF NOBODY DONATE BLOOD THEN, THE HOSPITAL HAVE TO PURCHASE BLOOD FROM AMERICAN REDCROSS OVERSEAS, PAY FOR SHIPPING AND RUSH ORDER IF NEEDED AND THAT'S NOT CHEAP SO PATIENTS ARE ASKED TO GET SOMEONE TO DONATE BLOOD TO FOR THEM TO SAFE THEM THAT FEE, IF THEY DON'T GET ANYONE THEN YEAH THEY WILL RECIEVE A BILL, BUT NOBODY IS BEING BILL FOR BLOOD DONATED TO THE HOSPITAL, THEY ARE BEING BILL FOR BLOOD THAT HAVE TO BE PURCHASED, SO IF EVERYONE SIT AND REFUSED TO DONATE WHAT YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN, HAVE YOU EVER THINK ABOUT WHAT IF THE HOSPITAL WAS UNABLE TO PURCHASE BLOOD FROM AWAY AND NOBODY WANTS TO DONATE BECAUSE THEY WANTS TO BE PAID? SMH BUT ON ANOTHER LEVEL YOU PEOPLE NEED TO REALLY GET THE FACTS BEFORE COMMENTING. YOU SAME PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO BE PAID KEEP THAT ENERGY AND PRAY YOUDON'T NEED BLOOD EVER
