“Found dead” makes it sound like the death was sudden or suspicious. Then it’s revealed he was known to have had a terminal illness. Sorry, but this isn’t news.

@Amber and @ Amber No question is a stupid question. Amber didn't know what it meant and asked so she could learn. She's not walking around acting like she knows something that she doesn't. I bet there's many things that you ought to know that you don't but you don't want me to go there with you. Have several seats!!!!!!

The world would be a much better place if we were more sensitive and caring people. If we don't know what to say and we don't know what happened it may be best to just zip it and say nothing if a simple condolence is too much for youall to type. Thanks to the few who express sympathy to us. The young man has a family and your comments have consequences

I so totally agree with you. I am going to say it, I am so sick and tired of these hog mouth black ugly heartless people in Tortola with the constant foolishness and lack of respect towards others. Someone passed away and all they can do is show a lack of respect to the young man’s family. They are one set of sick people. What planet these people originated from. PLANET OF THE APES?

They are the same ones that is going to be at his funeral looking news and being nosy. This place is full of some dirty hypocrites. Smiling in you face and stabbing you in the back at the same time. No matter how much you think you know a person or how well you know a person, 99% they will stab you in the back.

First I would like to send condolences to the young man’s family. It just makes me sad about the way some people is passing judgment and assuming things about the young man. He was someone’s child please show some respect to the young man’s family.Show some class about yourselves. This is why I live a very private secluded life and don’t mingle with anyone. Here in Tortola people tend to gossip and rejoice on others mishaps until it happens to them. I am quite content living with my dog and 2 cats. The less people know about me or see me the better.

Sometimes it’s best to live that way. People can be very dangerous, they act like they mean well but they don’t. You can see a persons face but you can’t see their heart. You want a friend, get a pet. A pet will not betray you and they are loyal.Humans will hurt you, betray you and they are not loyal.

Delroy Gordon was a member of the BVI’s first team to represent the territory and compete in the Special Olympics when he competed in the sailing event in Athens in June 2011 returning with a Gold medal. He went on to attend Gallaudet University in Washington DC . He was an able sailor and waterman who was able to develop his talent and skill through Colin and Alison Bramble of the then BVI Water Sports Center. Delroy was an incredibly kind and gentle person who achieved much in his short time with the support of many good people who believed in him and his potential.
