ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Just who will follow in the footsteps of Miss Sharie B.Y. deCastro as Miss British Virgin Islands will be known tonight, August 4, 2013 when the highly anticipated Miss BVI 2013 Pageant is staged at the Multi-Purpose Complex.

The four contestants are Raemona Maloney, Brianna Henley, Mekyla Phillips and Rosanna Chichester. The winner of the pageant becomes an ambassador of the Virgin Islands and also wins the right to represent the territory at Miss Universe.

According to the Chairperson of the Miss BVI Pageant Committee, Ms Alicia Hamm, preparations for tonight are "coming fine" and the show is expected to start on time. "We intend to start at 8 P.M tonight and so we are asking everyone to be on time," Ms Hamm told Virgin Islands News Online.

As for the show itself, Ms Hamm is expecting the usual high standards from contestants. "We expect to have a great show, the contestants have been preparing hard and I know they definitely going to be putting on a good show for the audience."

Tickets are still being sold at the Multi-Purpose Complex until 2P.M. today. The ticket window at the complex will be reopened at 5 P.M. when the tickets would be $30 instead of $25.

The interview segment of the pageant was held on July 28, 2013.

Public introduced to contestants for Miss BVI 2013 Pageant

Raemona Maloney, Brianna Henley, Mekyla Phillips and Rosanna Chichester will be the persons vying for the Miss BVI 2013 crown.

The four beauties were revealed to the public during the opening of Paragon Hall in Fish Bay this evening, June 28, 2013.

The Miss BVI 2013 pageant will be held at the Multi-Purpose Complex on August 4, 2013.

The reigning Miss BVI is Ms Sharie B. deCastro, who is currently participating in the 2013 Miss Carival Pageant, which just got underway at Victoria Park in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Ms deCastro is also the reigning Miss Caribbean World.
