MANAGUA, Nicaragua- The Virgin Islands (VI) suffered a 3rd straight loss in Group E at the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers in Managua, Nicaragua, following a 6-0 defeat to Grenada on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The VI came close to scoring their first goal in the competition in the first half when Kiyah-Starr Shelton hit the crossbar from long range. The lethal Shelton, who has had to tough it out alone in attack, found it difficult receiving the ball due to the dominance of the Grenadians.

It was the first win for Grenada in Group E.

The Virgin Islands play their final game on Saturday, January 31, 2026, against Anguilla.

Both teams are without a win, but Anguilla have scored one goal in the competition.

Oh, my I felt so sorry for these young ladies. This goes to show how much our government invested in our young people, nothing for them, only big parties. Nevertheless, all the best to the team.
