Update: Two charged with attempted murder in connection with VG shooting
This disclosure follows this news site's first and accurate reporting that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) hadheld two men for questioning in relation to the incident, which reportedly occurred around 5 A.M. on the day in question.
Sherman Williams, 27 and Jevon Demming, 23, both of Valley, Virgin Gorda, are to appear in a Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, October 5, 2012, a press release from the RVIPF stated.
According to a previous press statement by the RVIPF, Neil St. Rose, 37, received a single bullet wound to the neck and is currently in stable condition at Peebles Hospital.
"Investigations suggest that the victim was in an altercation at the venue prior to the shooting which occurred around 5 A.M....Police continue to interview persons in relation to this incident, however, anyone who may have witnessed the altercation or shooting and can help in the investigation are encouraged to contact any one of the officers at the Virgin Gorda Police Station through its three-digit access number 311. All information will be held in the strictest confidence," the release also stated.
Persons are also invited to contact the anonymous, untraceable Crimestoppers number 800-TIPS or 800- 8477.
The injured man, this news site was told, arrived at Peebles Hospital around 6:50 A.M. on Sunday.
