Rotaract to hold ‘Blue Jeans Peace Affair’ in support of FTM
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Persons are being encouraged to get their blue jeans lined up for the Blue Jeans Peace Affair to be staged by Rotaract Club of Tortola in collaboration with Follow The Movement (FTM) on Friday November 30, 2012.
The event, which will be held at the Up’s Cineplex Ball Room (upstairs), will see proceeds go towards the FTM’s Top 7@7 Awards Show early next year.
Rotaract President Jehree Clarke is appealing to the public to support the cause as FTM has been known to support the youth of the Virgin Islands especially through the Awards Show, which has gained much attention outside of the Territory.
She pointed out also that Travis Walters aka Travie Rozae and Monea Richardson were two youngsters who benefitted in a major way as a result of the initiative of FTM and Rotaract would like to see more youth benefitting in a similar way.
Both Walters and Richardson were selected to attend R.A.Y.D.A.R. Entertainment’s Superstar Moulding Programme in Atlanta due to exposure at the FTM’s Top 7@7 Awards Show. Walters was later signed by UpFront Records.
Meanwhile, the fundraising event on Friday will see action from 10 P.M. with music by popular entertainers DJ Push Pop, DJ Dre and DJ Bertrum.
Tickets cost 10 dollars.
