UPDATE: Police seeking information on John's Hole attempted murder
Police said on responding to reports of a shooting after 9 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, one male individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to Dr. Orlando Smith's Hospital where he received treatment.
Our News Centre can now confirm that the shooting victim was Jeron Romney, who is still hospitalised but underwent successful surgery following the incident.
“The RVIPF urges the public to come forward with any information pertaining to the incident. Individuals are encouraged to reach out confidentially via the Crime Stoppers line at 800-8477 (TIPS) or, if overseas, at 1-284-800-8477. Alternatively, you can contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.”
Police added that regardless of how seemingly insignificant, every piece of information could be pivotal in advancing thier ongoing investigation.

One reportedly injured following Station Road shooting
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) are confirming a shooting incident a short while before 21:41hrs tonight, March 22, 2024, on Station Road, in Road Town, Tortola.
The shooting reportedly happened near the Multipurpose Sports Complex and so far according to a police source, one person has been reported injured and was rushed to Dr. Orlando Hospital.
It remains unclear the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however, officers are currently on the scene conducting investigations.
