ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The man, who reportedly died on Scrub Island sometime last night October 10, 2012 has been identified as Sheikh Abdul Aziz Alhamrani of Saudia Arabia.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed to Virgin Islands News Online confirmed that it is investigating the death of the Sheikh, however, police are not suspecting foul play at this stage of the investigation.

"Police can confirm that they attended the scene at Scrub Island to what appears to be a sudden death report. Nothing appears suspicious so far," RVIPF's Information Officer Diane Drayton related to this news site when contacted.

Drayton also said the Coronor has been notified and that Police are continuing with investigations.

The RVIPF had appeared to be tight-lipped on the investigation this morning with Acting Commissioner of Police David Morris declining to comment to the media while the RVIPF's Public Relations Officer Diane Dreyton could not be immediately reached.

Other ranks directly below Mr. Morris could also not be immediately reached for comment.

It is still not clear around what time it was discovered that the man had died or the circumstances surrounding his death.

Additional investigation conducted by Virgin Islands News Online has revealed that the deceased is one of six Saudi Arabian brothers who jointly filed an appeal against Sheikh Abdulla Ali Alhamrani, their brother, in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

Saudi Arabian brothers were disputing the ownership of previously jointly owned assets. One of these assets is a BVI company, according to documents from the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

Why on Earth would you automatically ass-ume that ANYONE was murdered? Have you ever heard of natural death? Nobody has stated there was a murder. Why don't you wait to see what the police discover before making such a comment?

There are over 600,000 registered companies in the BVI. Check out this link. http://www.offshorebvi.com/bvi-offshore-companies.php If a lawsuit is filed against a BVI registered company, the courts of the BVI must hear the matter. What a shame that one of the persons involved in the lawsuit passed away. There is always the possibility that he was in ill health prior to this court case and the stress contributed to his demise. No matter what the circumstances, my condolences to his family.
