LONG BUSH, Tortola, VI - Following reports of gunshots in the Long Bush/Lower Estate area last evening Friday, February 3, 2023, there have been no reports of any injuries or fatalities in the area.

Sources had indicated to our new center that loud gunshots were heard coming from the area early friday night. 

Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) has since reached out to officials at the Royal Virgin Islands Police force for more details on the incident. 

We will bring more information as it becomes available.

Multiple shots reportedly fired in Long Bush/Lower Estate area

LONG BUSH, Tortola, VI - Information coming into the Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that multiple shots have reportedly been fired in the vicinity of the Long Bush/Lower Estate area early tonight, Friday, February 3, 2023.

Sources in the area confirmed to our news center that some 40-50 shots were heard.

It remains unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting, or the details surrounding the incident. 

This is a developing story and our news centre will bring more information as it becomes available.

    When I was a detective back in the day. I will be in a Bar chilling having a drink and whenever something bad happen someone in that Bar under the influence feel free to talk will openly say, "Why so and so don't behave themselves, calling names" then you as a detective hear and pretend you don't hear and keep encourage the speak more, more details more names..That's how true detectives work,. we are very social, little a lot say very little, avoid the subject of police and the law, that will only remind the people to be careful what they are saying...Him Shot fired or heard in a certain area, someone at that bar table knows who it is and under the influence will start saying, Crimes Were quickly solved. ...Can't have Christian detectives, my opinion, my view. Of course you may have different opinion and a different view .

    Blessings and Divine protection are bestowed on the VI in miraculous ways.
    The open fires displayed in all their glorious environmental disaster on Anegada and on Tortola. Perched on the hills to the Heavens and seeing eyes.
    The closing pop pops and more pop pops of Gunfire in the heart of Tortola in the deep of night ..,..just in case
    there was any doubt or hesitancy by the UK about security and Environmrntal factors hindrances in moving forward in the BVI.

    Them shots coming from somewhere up the social security estate on the hill. The entrance block off to vehicles but you can drive up a scooter or take foot. Somebody hanging out up there night time with their new box.of toys trying them out.
