How many shootings will it take for the Government to do something about it? No-one has been convicted for any of the murders this year. There are too many for a country where guns are illegal. There should be searches of nightclubs, cars and roadblocks. The Premier could offer an amnesty first for all weapons to be given up to the police. Its more like Jamaica here everyday.

And of course the premier knows this which is why he’s trying to secure our borders more tightly but people kick up about that too, talking about how the man spending so much money. And what Jamaica got to do with this?

Thats Sad. More people are getting caught with guns than hard drugs what's going on here... this is serious. What all of them getting caught at least one has to spill the beans if thats not happening it means the sentence is too light.

RVIPF your on a roll but please do something about these guns, it cant be that hard when every dunce seems to be able to find them. Not much reason to have a gun beside wanting to hurt someone from afar. Legislators up that sentence to 25 years mandatory and then they'll be looking for a way out.

Gun culture is sickening, we dont need it here. Just a bunch of cowards for example they'll be right up under each other arguing but rather go and come back scared to get in a real fight.

This so heartbreaking that someone would leave their home with a loaded gun with intent to harm , to kill anyone that crosses their part. In this case, in this country of ours our little BVI. The young people in this country is in great danger. They are allowing The devil to use their mind to destroy their body and soul. O God have mercy on our young men. Tighter security is needed at our port of entry including our Yacht harbors and so fort. Air land and sea. Lets us put a stop to those guns from coming in here.

People know who did this but that code of silence means they won’t point fingers. That, in turn, means they’re fine living in a society where differences are settled by violent means. The lack of any meaningful action by the government in this regards corroborates this.

      Government????

the bloke from london holds responsibility for law and order in this place

the governor and the commissioner of police both from the united kingdom hold responsible for national security:

why some of us so fearful of speaking the facts: when last the commissioner of the police gave the residence of the community an update on the multiple unsolved crimes

when last mr commissioners or mr governor came forward and gave an outline on how they intend to fight crime in the BVI(may be because the crimes are black on black)....it is not a priority among the UK representatives

there is unsolved murder going back to the late 80s but the only people we continue to pick on is the political leader

as a matter of fact in comes the commission of inquiry to ridicule local authorities BUT most of us have nothing to chat because the territory borders continues to be violated with dope and guns(ask the governor why nothing is done!!!!

Why don't you respond by saying let us people in bvi who know where the guns are give police the information? Also people who have info on the murders get the info to the relevant authorities. Look this man was out in the bvi Public for four yrs being harbored by the bvi public.

My one comfort is the natural order of reaping what you sow. They have allot to account for. And they will.

Hey, Wiley Cayote, you think you're clever pinning the blame for unsolved murders on the English white people who are in charge of the police force. But you and everyone knows that a force can't succeed without the public helping them in their inquiries. But of course the public in the BVI does not help the police when our people get murdered. That is why those in charge of the force get no where. If BVI people are happier to protect friends and family that commit heinous crimes than they are to talk to those English white people, then we just have to live it, and know who we are. That's who we are.
By blaming those expat government people to make them sound like your evil oppressors, you now make it even less likely BVIsanders will help get justice for the victims of violent crimes and murders.
You and your Wiley Cayote crew will, at some point, feel the effects of gravity and fall to earth hard.

Your indignation is understandable, but your argument that sins of the son are sins of the family is not consistent with the principles of justice. For example, the lady harboring the 4 year escapee recently found has a prominent name, so are you saying that any one related (i.e. family) is guilty also? That said, I agree that expats found guilty in a court of law should be deported.

A very sad day in the bvi, yet again. We have been here before and the way things are going we well be back again unless drastic measures are taking place.

At this point in time, solutions and why are for a another day. This moment is for the families and friends of the deceased who are experiencing a very difficult moment and must be allowed to grieve peacefully, our heart goes out to them because this pain is not easy, therefore they need our encouragement and support during what we can describe as another senseless killing.

LASTLY, it is high time that public officials mandate that all public businesses have CCT installed and working within their premises to enable to carry out business. Failure to do so carrys a hefty fine and suspension of licence, we are in these moments now.
Also convicted murderers should receive whole life sentences meaning no possibility of parole, you died in prison, the legislation is in UK and all commonwealth countries let's get bvi adapting.

This is so sad! We have a responsibility as a COMMUNITY to speak up LOUD & CLEAR to get the person or persons involved in this murder (and every murder as a matter of fact) off the streets! We CANNOT keep burying our young men! No mother should be burying her son... and no son should have to grow up without his father because he lost his life to gun violence. BVI people it is time to wake up! Talk and save lives because at this rate, it will only continue! Even the murderer has a mother and if she's seeing this, I pray she's woman enough to turn her son in. We got to look at ourselves in the mirror and admit that we aren't raising men. Some people did their best but the actions of some of these guys are that of a coward. Smh... BVI people let's wake up! I don't care where the shooter from, speak up to the authorities because this nonsense got to stop! How are we to attract vaccinated tourists when simple guns are in our "night clubs"! To get into the territory and the same "night club", we must produce a vaccination card... but guns coming in to the territory STEADY and gets in these "night clubs" & goes unnoticed?! Yall that know and don't speak up will hold yall head too. This mother shouldn't be burying her son! And until yall with solid info talk, she need not talk to some of yall either because the worse type of person is the one who sits and comfort you but made a vow to remain silent. Yall deadly in the place mehson.

Sincere prayers and condolences to his family, especially his mother. Yall need to do right by her... we can't keep adding to all our unsolved murders list. That s**t is played out... frfr

    RIP

AND!!!! Yall need to STOP patronizing these establishments because the owner's only concern today was that the news outlets not take pictures of his "club" because he'll lose business. He didn't have the decency to offer any type of comfort to this grieving family but Time longer than Twine. Boycott that establishment because men with a mentality like that is the problem. He must think people don't know where this murder occurred because the news outlets ain't release the name but we got to show them better than we can tell them. You got to work too hard to throw way your money to heartless people. Boycott his place

Isn’t strip clubs illegal in the BVI? Please correct me if this is incorrect. Why are they up and running if it’s illegal? Why was a gun allowed inside the club? Where was security searching the patrons and where were they when the incident occurred??? Every time that demon A***n name is called it is never anything good. I was suing that establishment!!!
    • @ridiculous (12/12/2021, 12:39) Like (10) Dislike (0) Reply
Because A***n is a bad seed that is why the demon name is always popping up in s**t maybe dude that was killed was a sacrifice for the deal A***n made with the devil. This is not the first time people got murk and the demon name came up.

Security? You mean the mall cops security that is getting a few dollars to allow guns in the clubs? No one is safe in those clubs. You value your lives, stay out of those clubs.

With all the gun violence happening at night clubs...you would think more would be implemented to control weapons being taken inside at minimum. Sorry to say but our country is very lackadaisical. Granted that we can't control every ounce of violence, but we have defintely not put our best foot forward in ensuring that it's more controlled. RIP and my deepest sympathy to your love ones.

If Night clubs don’t have a fully working security system in place; they all should be closed down for the rest of the year until up to date!!

It is a hood rat chicken head club that only attracts no class uneducated young women that have no morals or decency about themselves. If you are a young woman with any type of class and dignity about yourselves stay away from that gangsters paradise and this blog is coming from a MAN.

I just want to send deepest heartfelt condolences to the young man’s family and friends. This was a senseless crime. This man served his Country with pride and dignity when he was stationed in Afghanistan. To know someone was in a war zone and made it out alive from suicide bombings, road side bombings, snipers and dodging bullets and came back home to be gun down by a piece of worthless crap is a bitter pill to swallow. The police need to find this piece of trash. A beautiful little innocent child is left without a father. I am begging anyone with a heart if you know who the gunman is please turn him in. I am begging the gunman mother to please don’t uphold your son in the wrong, turn your son in be it he is still on the Island or he ran to St.Thomas.

They need to round up all these punks in the BVI like cattle and ship them off to the middle of Afghanistan to help fight the war. They like pulling gun trigger, let them go pull gun trigger on the Afghanistans, bet they will be crying and crapping on themselves calling for their mommies. How come these little trigger happy punks don’t mess with the Arabs in the BVI. Because they know what F***ing time it is. A monkey knows exactly what part of the tree to swing on.

Round up all of their mommas. Where are their daddies...these women open up and become impregnated for every no-good never was good Tom dick and Harry. Birth control before during and after is available. These women have mommas like themselves missing daddy's and brothers like their sons. These women are rapidly and repeatedly producing the next generation of Black men. When did Tolian women come so...oooh the mommas are not bona-fide Tolian women...well folks welcome toyour new and self made population. Well deserved. This is what you pick to build your country from a choice of better quality.

Time will tell for this one and I can bet you, no one will have any sympathy or bat an eye when it finally does happen. Who knows of them ain’t get rid of partner by the station too. So the shooter is still at large?? Lol he was shot inside of the club where there was a multiple of people.. but yet no one knows who did the shooting?? So the security don’t know who they let into the club?? Lol.. it’s interesting.. a couple years back.. their was a shooting outside/behind ups and the police was quick to call name, arrest, charge and lock up an innocent.. immediately!!! Lol but a shooting takes place in a popular strip club where security checks EVERYONE before entering.. and the police can’t figure out who did the shooting lmaooo.. R.I.P to the fallen.. him and his family deserves justice!! The BVI POLICE NEED TO DO BETTER!!! SLACK!!!
