UPDATE: Man injured in Friday night shooting in stable condition

The man is reported to have undergone surgery at the hospital.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A male is presently in stable condition at Peebles Hospital after receiving a single gunshot wound to the abdomen while in the Crabbe Lot area on Friday, November 18, 2011, according to a police press release.

The release added, the victim, a 27-year-old from Sage Mountain, was admitted to Peebles Hospital around 10:45 pm Friday evening and continues to receive treatment however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are asking anyone who may have been seen the incident take place or may have been in the area during that time of the incident to contact the Specialist Crime Unit at 468-2718 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 468-9339.
