UPDATE: Man fatally shot this evening identified as Corey Butler


Butler is reportedly a national of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
According to police, the shooting took place close to Flemming Street. Our newsroom can also confirm that the fatal shooting took place in the area behind Riteway Food Market.
“Police are confirming the fatal wounding of a male following a shooting incident in the area of Flemming Street this evening,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) stated this evening.
It said the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
“Officers are presently at the scene and at the hospital. No further information can be released at this time,” the RVIPF stated.

Fatal shooting reported near Scatliffe Alley/ 'The Ghetto'
Information just reaching our newsroom is that there has been a fatal shooting in the vicinity of the area known as Scatliffe Alley/ 'The Ghetto', on the main island of Tortola.
According to reports, the shooting took place around 6:30pm, June 21, 2022.

People love that fast money
And this young generation with all that now music n video games only help to enforce that way of thinking
Im going to leave with this majority of the crimes and murders committed recently are done by individuals younger than 30 I will go a step further and say than 25
Research the crime statistis of Vincentians here and wherever they relocate.
The immigrant Caribbbean population flee the terrors of their countries while carrying the and carry the mindset of killing and stealing.
Their home lands ,all with unending natural resources are not conducive to foreign investment and living ,all because of the natural murderous instinct of the natives.
Ppl of long ago generation was loving and forgiving & most importantly humbled
Nobody slept holding anybody or anything in mind they slept well
As for this generation????
Full of hate bad mind envy greed no love in them whatsoever
And now In addition they seeking out mediums going to darkness aka dabbling in evil.
I am thankful I was raised with my grandmother and she taught me well
Till this day I still think like her snd do what she desired of me....
This is nothing to do with culture or local dialect/patois. All to do with worshipping the wrong role models.
