UPDATE: Male sustains ‘multiple gunshot wounds’ in Purcell Estate shooting
According to the RVIPF in a press statement late last night, one male was transported to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital with “multiple gunshot wounds”.
Reports reaching our News Centre are that the victim was in a vehicle when he came under heavy gunfire.
Police said further details would be provided as they become available.

Reports of gunshots in Purcell Estate
Reports reaching our News Centre indicate sounds believed to be gunshots were heard in the Purcell Estate area of Tortola this evening, Sunday, October 26, 2025.
The alleged gunshots were heard just before 9:00 PM.
It is unclear to our News Centre at this time whether anyone has been injured.
We will continue to work on more details for this developing story.
The territory is currently on high alert, with two "armed and dangerous" fugitives on the run.
