Update: Hadassah Ward is out from BVITB!
Sources close to the situation told this news site that Ms. Ward will not be returning to the BVI Tourist Board and once her current leave ends the officer is expected to be assigned to the Premier’s Office. It is unknown what her role at that office will be.
Currently, Ms. Ward post of Director, BVI Tourist Board is being advertised.
It is unclear why the decision is being made and there had been no formal announcement from the Chairman of the Board so far as to the reason for the move.
Virgin Islands News Online had previously attempted to reach Chairman Russell Harrigan on March 28, 2012 but up to press time then there had not been a response.

On July 28, 2010, at a meeting of Cabinet, the decision was taken to confirm Ms. Ward as Director of Tourism, after she had held the Acting Director title or two years. Ms. Ward had also previously served as the Deputy Director of Tourism.
According to a Government Information Service (GIS) Press Release in 2010, Cabinet’s decision was made on Ms. Ward’s record in difficult times. A few of her achievements included a global restructuring of the organisation; bringing the true picture of the Board’s financial situation to light, and in recent weeks, working with the Board’s attorney Farara Kerins to spearhead the overturning of the ruling in the Zimmerman suit against the BVI Tourist Board in which the Board was successful.
Ms. Ward was also credited with leading the Tourist Board’s development of new international creative which was to be launched in autumn 2010.
“Much of what Ms. Ward was tasked with was the unglamorous work that had to be done to bring the Board into a position from where we can move forward, there is much more to be done but Ms. Ward and her team are on the right track and we have every confidence that they will continue to do good work on behalf of the people of this Territory,” said then Premier and Minister of Tourism Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE.

What pisses me off is the lady is being pushed aside and P*******g is free to hire a reject and pay him $180, thousand a year for two years for what. He then takes him on a tour of Europe on mission impossible. And to think that it is my taxes that he is using to pay for this fulishness.
