UPDATE: Demiah O'Neal was neighbours' 'little sweetheart' - Resident
There was no doubt that sleep was a challenge also for her parents Beckey Felician and Carey O'Neal. The very distraught mother couldn't say much to this news site because of her emotional state but was baffled as to what could have possibly gone wrong with her child that would have resulted in her sudden death.
Of the few things she could have said was that the 11 year old went to school as normal yesterday January 30, 2014 and it was the first time that she had cried out for such headaches.
Several persons close to the family are now pondering if a fall that the child had approximately two years ago, resulting in her hitting her head, had anything to do with the sudden headache and death.
Several friends and neighbours said that today and onwards to the funeral they will be giving her parents and sibling all the comfort and support as possible. "We will miss that child, we are already missing her, it's going to be a really sad day at her school today I know that for sure." said a close family friend.

11-year-old's sudden death rocks VG
VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - The Island of Virgin Gorda was rocked earlier tonight as word of the sudden death of an 11 year old circulated.
Informed and authentic sources close to the incident have confirmed the child as Demiah O'Neal, a former student of the Little Rainbow Primary School.
According to our sources, the child had first complained of having severe headaches yesterday, January 29, 2014.
However late this afternoon her mother, whose name was given as Beckey Felician, observed that the child was not being her usual self and rushed her to the Iris O'Neal Health Centre in Virgin Gorda. The mother of the child also confirmed that her daughter died. "I really dont know what happened to my child," she said.
Said a source, "When she got there she was not saying anything but was alert and when the nurse questioned her about what was wrong she just pointed to her head."
An emergency transfer was immediately facilitated and according to our authentic source medical personnel aboard the vessel were forced to perform CPR as she had began to lose consciousness. The child remained in an unconscious state enroute to Beef Island and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Peebles Hospital in Road Town, Tortola sometime before 8:00 pm.
Demiah was the daughter of Mr Carey O'Neal.
More details to follow.

Billyb you are so right about the hospital. If the island had better facilities maybe that child's life could have been saved. Instead she had to be transported to Tortola aboard a boat at that. There are certain conditions that require prompt indept medical intervention. But this is not possible at the VG Clinic; the place lacks equipment. Instead of building a park for $700k the mini whatever should have been well on it ways being built. The Govt is spending money backwards. Give the people proper medical facilities then give them the social things.
I can't imagine what your feeling right now. This is so sad. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
