UPDATE: Carlos Gumbs pleads guilty to firearm possession; remanded

Following a body search of Gumbs and the scooter he was riding while in the yard of the Magistrate’s Court at Prospect Reef on Tuesday March 1, 2016, officers recovered a 45 caliber handgun and magazine in the seat of the scooter.
He was remanded until his sentencing on April 15, 2016.

Police arrest man with firearm near court
Police today Tuesday March 1, 2016, searched a man in the yard of the Magistrate’s Court at Prospect Reef along with his scooter and recovered a hand gun.
Police in a press release said that the man is now in Police custody awaiting charges.
The release said that investigations into this matter are ongoing.
