CAPOONS BAY, Tortola, VI- Information reaching our news centre is that the shooters at Capoons Bay last night, August 9, 2023, were heavily armed, wore masks and hoodies, and arrived on motor scooters.

From all indications, according to sources, it was an attempted execution by two men on motor scooters who were allegedly armed with semi-automatic weapons.

Our news centre was reliably informed that the victim sustained a wound to his stomach and to one of his arms.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed the shooting in a brief statement today, August 10, 2023.

“Police can confirm a shooting incident after 9:00 pm last night in Capoons Bay. One male was injured and is presently receiving medical treatment. He is in stable condition.”

Police said investigations are ongoing.

    Every time the UK military boat comes they tell us not ask us. It comes and it goes. We have no say.

    I believe this issue of military assistance or not is false pretenses meant to shape our opinions.

    If they want to bring the military boat plane and helicopters they will bring them no questions asked.

    But question why is there no police presence in that area until the bars close?

    Restaurants hotels surfing spot bars all in that location and no real safety.
