UPDATE: 4 dead, 52 arrested after Trump supporters storm US Capitol
At least four people, including a Capitol police officer, have died and 52 were arrested due to the disturbance, Washington DC's police chief Robert J. Contee said.
Contee said late last night that 47 of the 52 arrests to date were related to violations of Mayor Muriel Bowser's 6:00 pm curfew, with 26 of those involving people arrested on US Capitol grounds.
Several others were arrested on charges related to carrying unlicensed or prohibited firearms.
Pipe bombs recovered
In addition, Contee said, two pipe bombs were recovered from the headquarters of the Republican and Democratic national committees, as well as a cooler from a vehicle on US Capitol grounds that contained Molotov cocktails.
Contee, according to Reuters, declined to identify the woman, a Capitol Police officer, shot and killed, saying next of kin notification was still pending.
Three other people also died on Wednesday because of medical emergencies, he added, and 14 police officers were injured - two of whom remain hospitalized.
The nation's lawmakers took to their electoral duties late Wednesday amid broken glass and smashed doors in the US Capitol.
Vice President Michael R. Pence affirmed Biden's win early Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Violence engulfs US capitol as Trump supporters run riot
The United States Capitol has been put on lockdown today, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, with lawmakers inside as Donald J. Trump's supporters clashed with police, broke through barricades and entered the building.
The disturbance comes after a summer of protests against coronavirus lockdown measures, including in Michigan where armed militia members stormed the state capitol.
While both chambers of the US Congress were meeting certify Democrat Joseph R. Biden's win over Donald J. Trump, the proceedings were interrupted by police clashes with rioters in adjoining corridors.
Trump has for weeks claimed to have been the true winner, saying without evidence that the votes cast for Biden in crucial swing states were fraudulent.
He and his supporters have been pressing Vice-President Mike Pence to overturn the election result by refusing to certify Biden's win, something that experts agree he does not have the legal power to do.
In the days leading up to the certification, Trump said that he would attend the "Save America" rally happening in Washington on Wednesday, promising on Twitter that it would be "very big" and "wild".
About an hour after Trump addressed thousands on the National Mall, promising to "never concede" that he had lost, chaos was unleashed.
Shots fired, tear gas used
As a mob of Trump supporters entered the building, people working inside were ordered by local safety officials to shelter in their offices. Shots were fired, according to ABC News, and a woman was shot although the details were not immediately clear. The National Guard was called to help to secure the Capitol.
After breaching barricades Trump supporters were seen walking through the building, waving flags and clashing violently with security. One posted pictures purportedly from House speaker Nancy P. Pelosi’s office where her quickly abandoned laptop appeared to be still on, others took selfies inside the Senate chamber.
The move meant that the Senate and the House of Representatives both recessed its debate over congressional certification of Joe Biden’s electoral victory over Trump in November’s presidential election.

in hell has rejected Trump. His reptile looking behind is going to prison and there is nothing he can do to avoid it. That is what happens when you abuse power, it will turn around and destroy. Seems like this year is the year where all the evil doers is going to suffer the most.
