ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Bishop of the New Life Baptist Church in Duff’s Bottom, Tortola, Mr John I. Cline says the arrest of ex-Premier Andrew A. Fahie (R1) in the USA may have been part of a grand plan by the United Kingdom (UK).

Bishop Cline made the statements during the May 26, 2022, edition of the ‘My BVI’ show streamed on Facebook, after his co-host Angelle A. Cameron suggested that the arrest of the ex-Premier and release of the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) Report may have been a coincidence, since the two came at almost the same time.

Uk don't deal with coincidence - Bishop Cline

According to Bishop Cline , “The UK doesn’t deal with coincidence, they deal with plans… they are strategic.”

“They knew everything what was going on, they knew what was going to happen to Andrew, no matter what they say. Let’s call a spade a spade,” he added.

The Governor in a press statement on April 28, 2022, informed the VI and world that Premier Fahie was arrested in the USA.

“It is my duty as Governor to inform you that this morning the Honourable Premier Fahie was detained in Miami on charges related to conspiracy to import a controlled substance and money laundering,” Governor Rankin shockingly disclosed.

The Governor added in his statement, “The remit of the Commission of Inquiry focused on governance and corruption and was not a criminal investigation into the illegal drug trade."

Did arrest lead to release of CoI report?

"To avoid unnecessary speculation, I intend to move ahead urgently on publication of the inquiry report so the people of the BVI can see its contents and its recommendations in the areas it addressed,” he said.

While VI Governor John J, Rankin CMG said that the arrest of the Premier was not linked to the Commission of Inquiry report, UK Foreign Secretary Liz M. Truss on the same day of the arrest said the CoI had demonstrated ‘the importance of the Commission of Inquiry into governance on the Territory.”

The news of the arrest of the Premier received international media coverage ahead of the release of the CoI Report a day later, where one of its sweeping recommendations called for UK Direct rule to be imposed in the territory.

Who knew? The guy in the street in London? No. MI5 knew because they would have set it up with the DEA. But they would have told no one in BVI. Certainly not the Police or the Governors office because both of those are as leaky as a sieve.

No one knows about whats coming next either but my guess is some more arrests.

Cline is obviously worried about his future. He should be.

They were going to release the report in June then Andrew got arrested and they released it forthwith. Andrew's arrest has nothing to do with the COI, so why the change in plan. It was a public relations move to make them look like their intentions are to help us and not to cripple our financial services. If Andrew had taken ill or died would they have released the report early, I don't think so. They also knew the US was going to act to detain him, there had to be communication bc the usa knew of Andrew's government responsibilities and would've done their due diligence.

Andrew's arrest is an act of individual citizen conspiring with alleged organized crime. It had nothing to do with Fisher & Farmers grants, Welfare Schemes, Statutory board appointments or misappropriation of funds. It is a completely separate event from the COI. Yet the UK tied the 2 of them together to trick the people, both bvi & uk, into perceiving it to be the same thing. The USA had Andrew on a watch list from 2012 or around that time, according to the school children, so how is it related to a 2022 COI then, it is not. Now bad apples must be discarded so the good apples can thrive, but the Takeover is not justifiable b/c Andrew got held for a conversation with the wrong person. For all we know Andrew was bluffing them, we have no idea what was going thru his head. But it doesn't justify a UK takeover b/c the constitution already had an answer for the situation which is the deputy takes over and if HOA is missed in consecutive sittings the culprit is disqualified from membership. So that issue is already taken care of. What the COI should do is bring criminal charges against the bad actors and they have a right to a legal defense. Walwyn, O'Neal-Morton etc have a right to fight for their reputations & careers as resulting from COI but a constitutional suspension when the constitution is working right before our eyes is void of sensible reasoning.

Where do you get the craziness that the UK “want to cripple our financial services”. If you take a look at who is in charge of the UK right now it is EXACTLY the gang of greedy, low-morals, money-focused people that LOVE the BVI financial services because it’s they who want to hide their money offshore, avoid tax, avoid questions etc. It was the EU that was clamping down and some say Brexit was all about the top 1% protecting financial services for their own benefit. The ones that want to destroy our BVI FS have no power in the UK right now.

    Dear Bishop:
Do you have any documentary evidential proof that the USA and UK had a joint operation to target Andrew?
But Andrew knew that there was a COI report to be release:
And yet he went and engage himself in corrupt criminal practice?
Andrew thinks like a (15 yr old child).

Andrew made his choice independent of the UK. Be glad it happened so we can get rid of such levels of corruption and move forward. How is your opinion productive in our efforts to move forward?

You have to be sick. Smart people know that race is a big part of the equation sometimes, a smaller part in others, and sometimes not relevant at all. But some of you simple minded people think it explains every damn thing in the universe.
You know what it does? This limits your intelligence. It limits the range of things you are able/want to think about and analyze and study and understand because if it doesn’t have racism in it, with you on the victim side, you ain’t interested. You think that knowing racism exists automatically makes you smart - that’s how stupid you are.

I habour no personal hate in my heart against you, but I have clearly identified that you are a hater of righteousness. In many and mine honest opinion, you are a pretender. In other words, you are a fake bishop posing as a true one. Too bad that those that are under your ministerial leadership can't or refused to properly identified that you are, in fact, a subtle fake bishop that is very selfish mindedman. Had you nor been so selfish you would have appreciated, and embraced the UK and the CoI good effort in help us to build better governance relationship between our so-called unison Government leaders, and the people for a more balance distribution of our finances among us, for a possible prosperous BVI as soon as possible for our own and others good.

This was a “sting” operation. Even if this plan was orchestrated between the UK and US, the fact still remains that Mr. Fahie met with individuals here in the BVI and in Miami to set up what he thought would have been drugs passing through the BVI. The drugs may have been a facade but his intentions were not. Now IF he had rebuked them and said how dare you approach me with such a plan to jeopardize my character, people and country and sent them on their way. We would have a hero. If you put the right bait on a trap you’ll catch what/who you want to catch

Any one with common sense will figure that it was a set up to take Fahie down. But we also know if the story they tell us is true the plot could not work if he did not have a problem. If the fish don't bite it would not get caught. Right now we cannot look back and cry over spilt milk. We have the territory to move forward, our fore fathers toiled for this and we cannot let them down. Many keep telling us and even our children that we can't and we know we can. So let us pick ourselves up dust off and do what we have to do because we are not loosers. We cannot depend on others to save us we have to save ourselves. when the storm comes and blow your houses down you brace yourselves and build them back. Therefore, let us stop bawling about what we have lost and look forward to what we can gain from these past mistakes. Determination and honesty is the key to success. With God all things are possible. Let us give the Unity Government a chance. BVI is still beautiful and peaceful.
