Two charged for breach of curfew in VI

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two persons have been arrested and charged for breach of curfew as revealed by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in its latest arrest blotter for the period of January 31 to February 6, 2021.

Below is the full list of arrests:

BREACH OF CURFEW

On January 30, 2021, at 08:07hrs, Police arrested and charged J’Lani Martin, 19, of Purcell Estate for Reckless and Negligent Act, Breach of Curfew, Possession of Cannabis, Fail to Stop at the Sound of a Siren and Resisting Arrest.

On January 30, 2021, at 08:07hrs, Police arrested and charged Kimberly Kisnasammy, 18, a native of Guyana, residing in Handsome Bay, Virgin Gorda, for Breach of Curfew.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

On January 26, 2021, at 12:59hrs Police arrested and charged Shamul Mitchell of Baughers Bay for Assault Causing Bodily Harm. He was granted bail for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on 10-03-2021.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT

On 8-01-2021 at 07:35hrs, Police arrested and charged Devon Bedford, 32, of Harrigan Estate for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply.

BURGLARY

On February 4, 2021, at 10:03hrs, Police arrested and charged Keimanie Christopher, 24, of Fat Hogs Bay for Burglary. 

FAILURE TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT

On February 5, 2021, at 23:45hrs, Police arrested and charged Diory Joseph, 19, of Huntums Ghut, for Failing to stop at the red light, failing to stop at the signal of the siren, Reckless Driving, Driving without a valid Driver's license, Driving when not Covered by Third Party insurance.

He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 with one surety for his appearance at the Magistrate’s Court on March 25, 2021, at 09:00hrs.

    Please make a serious example out of them. To many people are getting comfortable disrespecting the curfew. But be careful; C***Y might come after you for locking up one of her goons

    With the exception of Kimberley I assume all the other people who were charged are natives of the BVI?

      Lol they only managed to caught two for breech of curfew i am 100% sure there are lots more ppl on the road during the three hours curfew.
