SPANISH TOWN, Virgin Gorda, VI- Two students’ academic journey will be made easier following the announcement that OneMart Supermarket is offering two scholarships for the upcoming academic year.

Businessman Mark H. Vanterpool announced a $25,000 educational scholarship for two Virgin Gorda students during the official opening of the new OneMart Supermarket in Virgin Gorda on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

“I’m going to announce something today that OneMart will give, in this coming school year, two scholarships of $25,000 for Virgin Gordans from wherever you come from. Two scholarships of 25,000 dollars each,” Vanterpool said.

OneMart opened its newest location at Rosy’s Plaza, which housed Rosy’s Supermarket for 50 years before permanently closing its doors on March 8, 2026. 

OneMart Supermarket is a prominent grocery chain in the Virgin Islands, with five locations across Tortola and Virgin Gorda. It is known for its wide variety of groceries, fresh produce, and household items. It also offers specialised services like yacht provisioning.
