DIAMOND ESTATE, Tortola, VI - Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that a major accident has occurred in the Diamond Estate area, this afternoon Saturday, February 27, 2021, and one driver may be seriously injured.

Sources told VINO that a truck carrying bricks fell off the hillside and toppled, reportedly trapping the driver beneath.

The truck fell on the roof of another building right beneath the hill, and a rubble of bricks was seen under the truck. 

While details remain sketchy, paramedics and other person were photographed on the scene trying to free the driver of the truck before he was reportedly rushed to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital. 

It is unclear if the truck had other passengers, however, our news centre will bring more information as it becomes available.
