ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The 5th annual Follow The Movement Top 7 @7 Music Award Show slated for March will be headlined by the Virgin Islands very own Travis Walters, now known as Travie Rozae.

This was announced at a press conference this morning February 8, 2012 at the Moorings.

Travie Rozae, who recently released his first single “See Her in You”, made his mark after twice performing on the annual show.

Also headlining the Award Show will be Verse Simmons, who is known for his hit single “Boo Thang”, and Rock City out of the US Virgin Islands.

According to FTM, four “important men” will be present at the show to assess Travis’ performance.

These individuals include Devyne Stephens, who is an American Record Executive and musician and Kevin Hall, an executive Vice President of Creative at Universal Music Group. Also assessing Walter's performance will be Aaron Schuck, who is the Director of A&R at Atlantic Records and Shawn Holiday, who is the senior Vice-president of Interscope.

Meanwhile, staunch supporter of FTM Minister of Education and Culture Hon. Myron Walwyn said he was pleased to see the Movement develop to the extent where it is. He also said that Virgin Islanders have always been singing and now mixing music and have reached to the stage where they have gained international recognition such as Iyaz, and kamau Georges, who will be travelling to the 54th Grammy Awards for his work on one of Lady Gaga's songs.

He also attributed this success to the many musicians and teachers in the Virgin Islands.

FTM has been instrumental in promoting local artistes through the airwaves of Zrod 103.7 FM, and as such, is committed to the development of the music industry in the Virgin Islands.

According to FTM, its mission is to provide a forum for young people to contribute positively to the community through utilization of their creative abilities, whilst equipping them with tools to promote growth and development.

More details to follow.

This will be a repeat of last year’s show. Rock City was here last year. You could have bring in our own IYAZ. The government is willing to pay RC monies to come here and sing the same songs that they sang at the show and also in the Village. You could have brought Riahana. I went to support the youths last year but not my money this year if the same headline artist coming. A word of advice to Travis Walters. You went to ATL for a few months and changed your name to Travie Rozae close to that of Rick Royza Ross. Come up with your own brand and stop trying to piggy back off of big artist.

Please stop posting negative blogs on these websites. We have to learn how to work as a team. Whatever blogs we write on these sites, anybody, anywhere can read them. I am sure that those label people are researching the BVI online to keep abreast of what is being said about the show etc. Don't blow you all future before it even happen. Remember, team playing is the key to any success. If you cannot encouage and root for your very own, who else can you do that for?
