ESTATE BOVONI, St Thomas, USVI- Horse racing resumes at Clinto E. Phipps Racetrack in Estate Bovoni on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Friday, May 2, 2025.

The card, known as the St Thomas Carnival Races, will see seven (7) races run, with the feature event being the Governor's Cup for a top purse of $30,000.

Ghostinyou of Tortola is the defending champion of the Governor's Cup and has been entered to defend its title in the clash over 1 mile and 70 yards.

The Lesmore Smith-owned horse will be challenged by Colbaloaf, Floki's Flight, Royal Act, and Quincy Cafe.

Risk vs Reward

Risk vs Reward, also of Top Priority Racing Stables owned by Mr Smith, will feature in the final race of the day, the Albert Boyzie Benjamin Cup for a purse of $20,000.

Macuco's Choice, Guilluame and Grand Tower will challenge the race favourite over a distance of 1 mile 1/16.

Post time for the first race of the day is 1:30 PM.

    not a man talking anymore about the disgrace of the Little A race track we need it to be reopened

      Yes, Keep that disgrace of a track closed, make it help the third pillar of agriculture, keep the govenrment money for more concerts and support the ferries by going to USVI for the races. Economic planning in BVI is going so well. Ha, ha.
