Tortola's Ghostinyou making another attempt for glory @Labour Day Races in STT

ESTATE BOVONI, St Thomas, USVI- 2024 Governor's Cup Champion Ghostinyou of Tortola will be the lone Tortola horse in competition when the Labour Day Races are held at Clinton E. Phipps Racetrack on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Ghostinyou of Top Priority Racing Stables, owned by local businessman Lesmore Smith, will feature in Race 7, the penultimate race of the day, for a purse of $20,000.

The Tortola speed ace will come up against Emmet, Ice Road, Colbaloaf, Grand Tower, and Royal Act in what is expected to be an exciting showdown among the Class A horses over 1 mile and 70 yards.

Mr Smith confirmed to our Newsroom today, August 29, 2025, that Ghostinyou is the only horse from his stable that will be in action.

He informed that the consistent Risk vs Reward is unavailable.

Pure Speight vs Floki's Flight

The feature race of the day will be between 2025 Governor's Cup Champion Floki's Flight and speed demon Pure Speight, literally.

The 2-horse race, to be run over 1 mile and 70 yards, will carry a purse of $25,000.

Meanwhile, Ocean Dreams will be providing a ferry specifically for race day on Sunday; however, advanced booking is required.
