Tiondre I. Martin & Niquan N. Freeman earn US sports scholarships
Martin, a 6’4” forward and Freeman, a 6’1” guard, both 14 years old, are affiliated with Sports Vision Academy.
Southeast Preparatory Academy High School is ranked #23 in Sports Illustrated’s Boys High School Basketball National Rankings, a testament to the program’s excellence, coaching, and player development.
Selected for talent & work ethic
The two young basketball players were selected for the scholarship based on their talent, work ethic and potential to contribute to their school and athletic communities, a press release from SVA said.
They will join Southeast Preparatory Academy High School, believing in a pathway that supports both academic and athletic growth.
SVA’S President, Mr Eustace C. Freeman, said, “It is envisioned that the development of youngsters at our academy be offered the best opportunities locally and abroad to further their development.”
The academy, he added, hopes to maintain a consistent pathway to maximise the youth’s potential.
“In late 2025, we have successfully partnered with schools in America, such as IMG, to open a healthy pathway for youngsters registered to our program. Congratulations to both youngsters, and we pray they make the most of this opportunity.”
SVA is a nonprofit organisation in the VI dedicated to the development of young athletes aged 9 to 16.
The press release added that one of the academy's goals is to provide clear, structured pathways to help athletes maximise their potential while offering consistent guidance, platforms and opportunities along the way.
