Speaking exclusively to Virgin Islands News Online, Tino said he has been trying to create songs that can appeal to different persons in the Virgin Islands and hence his latest release, which is about a man being attracted to a woman in a party and asking her to “dance” with him for the night.

The song, produced by Hi.A.Grade Studio of Virgin Gorda, is already on the airwaves here and in the United States Virgin Islands.

“It’s getting heavy rotations on the local stations. Someone told me they heard it in Aruba and the UK. With social media the word gets out quickly and DJs have been gravitating to it, so it is doing well,” Tino said.

The song is not yet available in stores but can be heard on social media, including his facebook page Tino Mark, Hard Core Band VG and Youtube.

New album coming

The song, which Tino plans to produce a video for soon, will be included in an album he intends to release in the summer.

“This album is a soca album really but what I am trying to do is to incorporate some Rock melodies, R&B melodies with the soca rhythm to bring about a different feel. I am not trying to be like anyone else, I am bringing my own feel to the table,” Tino said of his soon to be released album.

The album will include some of his Soca Monarch party songs, a ballad and a reggae track, among other songs.

Asked how his music career has been going so far, Tino said,“It’s going great,” noting that he won Groovy Soca Monarch in 2013 with his song Facebook Mash Up My Relationship, which is popular in many countries and has also released many other songs.

“Things looking really good and I just want to keep the energy going.”
