ROAD HARBOUR, Tortola, VI- Ting a Ling 2 emerged the winner of the 2025 Lowell Wheatley Anegada Pursuit Race.

The race took place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with one Monohull and three trimarans taking part. The race began from the centre of Road Harbour to the entrance of the channel at Anegada.

The results of the race are as follows:

  • 1st Place Ting a Ling 2 (Chris Haycraft)

According to the Royal BVI Yacht Club (RBVIYC), the pursuit race format means the ‘slowest’ boat starts first and is chased down by the rest of the fleet, which have individual start times calculated based on their ratings and the length of the race.

race, this race get worse every year with the yacht club seemingly unable to organise the simplest of things, the race is called after the owner of Anegada Reef hotel yet the racers didnt even have their dinner there but expect to be sponsored by the hotel, its a joke and needs revamping
