Tickets will be issued to motorists who park on lay-bys in RT- RVIPF

This is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in a press release on April 11, 2022.
Head of the Road Traffic Unit Kishon Leslie says that the no parking signs which were destroyed during Hurricane Irma were reinstalled. Officers will be issuing tickets for those who insist on parking their vehicles, particularly on the lay-bys along Waterfront Drive.
“We are giving fair warning to motorists. The lay-by is intended for motorists who need to pull off for shortstops. It was never intended for parking. Drivers are never to leave their vehicles unattended in these areas. There are now several options for motorists to legally park and gain access to the town area, therefore illegal parking will not be tolerated. Tickets will be issued to motorists who do not abide by the law,” he noted.
The public is reminded that yellow paint along the side of the streets is also an indication that no parking is allowed.

Lines means no parking - Who would have known?
Please also make it clear that when I park in a designated space - particularly in the car park near to CCT or at the big RTW - that is not an invitation to park behind me and block me in.
Put your efforts into ticketing vehicles obstructing traffic, like at the bottoms of Fort Hill and Great Mountain / Huntums Ghut , the Ridge Road, etc. These vehicles are a safety hazard, often so obstructing that fire trucks couldn't get through. Enforce all of the traffic laws!!
And the impound fee must be substantial, so folks will think twice before parking in ridiculous area
