ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Admitting that artists sometimes find it hard to get their own people to appreciate their work NJAR, born Glendon Lamothe, is grateful he has been feeling the love at home in the Virgin Islands- so much that he has written a song about it.

They Believe is the first official release off his mixtape "Drip Of Success" which is slated to be released later this year.

“I've been working on this mixtape for a while now and I felt like ‘They Believe’ is the perfect track to start things off. On this track I basically touch on the support and love that I receive from my people in the BVI. Every opportunity that I was able to create thus far was due to the buzz that I was able to create at home. Getting your own people to embrace you as an artist is hard but I must say that they have showed me tremendous support,” NJAR stated.

They Believe was released on March 29, 2016. It was mixed and mastered by Leo Sibilly of Atlanta and recorded at Home Grown Studios on Tortola.

"’They Believe’ so it's only right that I give them music that they would be proud to share and talk about,” NJAR stated.

The song will be available on ITUNES on April 4, 2016.

Speaking about his soon to be released album, Drip of Success, NJAR said the album is nothing like his previous project The Time Is Now. “It's ten times better.”

NJAR is the son of popular musician and guitarist, Glen Lamothe.

In an exclusive interview with Virgin Islands News Online in 2012, NJAR told this news site that as a child his father always listened to Zouk and Soca music, and those were the types of music he grew up on, but never really favoured them. He added that at the age of 17, he started listening to Hip Hop and instantly fell in love with the genre.

According to NJAR, his career in music officially started while hanging out with a friend and he decided to write his own piece, which resulted in positive feedback, where people told him that he sounded good and should continue.

Through that feedback, he was able to channel that positive energy into producing his first mix tape entitled ‘Not just another rapper’, which was released in March 2012, and consisted of his hit song, ‘Good Girl’ and many others.

‘Not just another rapper’ is not only the name of his first mix tape but is abbreviated as his stage name, ‘NJAR’.

Good luck but the reality is, BVI people not going to recognize you until you're on BET, MTV or big on Youtube. It's no different to island people living here. When they do bad, they're an expat, when they do good, they're our people. Same old story and it will never change. BVI people are envious, jealous and small minded idiots and that will not change.

No BVI ROCK where ever local talent is they feel if they actually create a functioning song its good, that may be true. But do they know when a record is a hit, plus all the yes men around lying and not saying the truth. Partna can rhyme like anbody else but it's hard when you background all good & you trying to make positive records. Sorry but unless you exceptional in some way POSITIVE MUSIC FLOPS.

One of the best Artist we have around here people just don't like to give jack his jacket. This dude is light years a head of everybody when it comes to his different marketing strategies. They always mention his name in everything but at the end of the day nobody can't stop this dude. He doesn't even do soca and he was on almost every show in 2015 give jacket his jacket.

I thought he disappeared not really hearing much from him this year but my eyes and ears will definitely be out. I understand why some might say the things they say because he doesn't rap about the typical BS that the masses like to hear. Yall steady prasing these wack ass rappers and so so artist around here but trying to call down Njar. You will never be celebrated in your own place njar try pack up and leave quick ma boi.

It will be hard for these guys to look back if they ever make it big what are they coming back to? Respect NJAR just rock with who rocking with you sir.

This is an opportunity to congratulate, big-up and celebrate the young man. But in every other post you all dissing the BVI and its people. What is your purpose people to say good job NJAR or to say something bad about BVI people? Congrats NJAR, keep shining. By the way, the date on the ad says 'Anguilla - 31/4", is that a mistake? If it is, it needs to be corrected.
