The League of British Virgin Islanders mourns the passing of Dr. Pearl Varlack
The League of British Virgin Islanders was established in 1988, as a non-profit organization to bring together British Virgin Islanders and Belongers in a social and cordial setting. One of the most important goals was to link Virgin Islanders so that they can positively impact their communities and strengthening the interrelationship.
Dr. Varlack served on the Board of Directors and was the chairperson of the Scholarship Committee, which administers the Norwell Harrigan Scholarship. Dr. Varlack was an avid and strong educator, she was very instrumental in helping many young Virgin Islanders achieve their goals in higher education by offering financial assistance through the League of British Virgin Islander’s Scholarship Fund.
Dr. Varlack will truly be missed from both territories of which she has so gracefully served. On behalf of the League of British Virgin Islanders board and members, I extend condolences to the family, and pray that God will comfort them in this solemn time of bereavement.
Sincerely,
Charles A. Martin Sr.
President
