We don't know what our young people are into until it is too late. Another young man gone too soon, and for what? May his soul rest in peace.

Probably squandering donations. They are all talk with no action or solution. Did crime just jump out of the bushes recently? Or has crime BEEN happening for decades? Why he didn't speak up when Mrs.Pickering, the little girl and all the rest were gunned down like animals??? That's why we must not put trust in man, but in God.

What does the Christian council have to do with the level of gun violence? Violence starts at home. And the people who have no respect or self control take out their rage on others. Then we have plain old greed. So tell me what does the Christian council have to do with any of that. Please stop trying to place blame and as a country start taking ownership and accountability for the short comings of ourselves and family members

police need to do some real police work. We have to find out how everyone is getting these guns. Anytime you arrest someone with a gun, the first question has to be how did you get it. If they cooperate, reduce their sentence to the minimum if not 20 years, we find the dealers, we stop the flow of arms on our streets, we stop the gun crime.

Why not make our voices heard at the Festival Parade as some are organised to do? All this flesh parading does nothing to uplift your community. Just dancing on society’s graves!

the criminal elements have overshadowed the law enforcement agencies

20 square miles and crimes and lawlessness is getting more serious

These Gun Boys know they can do such things because law enforcement shows after crimes are committed

back in the days police were always moving about our country: we now have more police officers yet crime and i mean serious crimes going unsolved

    Unsolved Murders
    Unsolved Robbery

The police allow this to get out of hand . The police pick on law abiding citizens everyday about cell phones and seat belts while those little scooter punks will pass them smoking a joint , no license plate on the scooter and no helmets. If the police are cowards then they shouldn’t be police.

Last time police chase a scooter man for breaking the law there was an public uproar over it and the officers lost their jobs. I can't blame them for being nonchalant towards reckless law breaking scooter rider's cuz the public and your own workplace will turn against you just for trying to do the right thing. We the public chose this path..

Pray for the Young Men in the BVI

All these young men dying just like that - some from accidents and incidents, some being gunned down, shot to death, drowning, or been killed on scooters etc.

Then we have another set of young men sleeping on the street, begging for money and becoming mentally insane from drugs and whatever the cause.

Then we have the other set ending up in prison or involve in criminal activities, drug trafficking, some do not want to work and is no benefit to their families, the church, their communities and society as well.

Soon it would not have any man for the young women to married to, and young children are growing up in a fatherless society.

Presently, there are more than two hundred (200) Unsolved Murders in the British Virgin Islands. There is going to be more Murders in a few days or months from now!

If we put dogs at the airport checking every single person and vehicles that enters and exits there would be less drugs run via it.

Airport has too many flights from all over the Caribbean. Means guns and drugs and planes not being inspected ever I’m guessing. Last time I came down I could have brought 5lbs with me easy. The fire officers must have late night access which enables them to move certain product easier at dark

Back in the 80’s the establishment of the RVIPF was 90 officers. We had drug unit, Traffic department, Criminal Investigation Division and beat and patrol units. We had officers on foot patrol both night and day. We also had vehicles patrolling the entire BVI. Drugs was always an issue and guns was always an issue then. The difference was that police were closed to the community who would give information and persons were busted. Who remember a police vehicle 8500. When ever guys saw this vehicle approaching they will begin to run because they know they are going to get search. Road blocks were often set up to stop and search vehicles.
Warrants executed regularly on suspected drug dealers. Now the officers remain in the station just waiting for a calls instead of being on the road to prevent situations. It has become that I am waiting on exams so I can get a promotion. Those who work hard are not being recognized. To get a traffic report you have to wait months when it should be weeks. Supervisors are too laid back and not doing what is required by the job.

You set the scene. Had your kind not been running down those guys for weed and earned the title Babylon we would have had a cleaner community where people love the cops. You set the scene where people hate the cops and dont want them around. IS YOU. YOUR FAULT drugs was always a problem. Then the local premier & friends was arrested for cocaine. Doubt you were running them down.

    RIP youth sad situation.
