Eight teams battled fiercely for the cash prizes and trophies on offer at the Long Bush Basketball Court; however, Team Referee and Sweaters reached the final after going undefeated through the preliminary rounds.

Team Referee declared the winner

The finalists failed to trouble the score sheets in regulation time and had just started extra time play when the floodlights went off. The lights eventually came back on, but with the evening already spent and the threat of rain, the two teams decided against resuming play and agreed to evenly split the $3000 cash prize. $2000 was initially the top prize and $1000 for the second-placed team.

Team Referee, however, were officially declared the winners due to a superior goal difference and were presented with the first-place trophy and medals.

The other teams participating were VG Stars, Genesis, Down Island Ballers, Rude Boys, Wanna Be City, and Fake Ballers.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Jermaine May of Team Referee, while the Golden Boot Award was won by Loic Simon of Down Island Ballers.

The Best Defender was D'Andrea McSheene of Team Genesis. Team Genesis was also the people's choice for Most Disciplined Team.

According to Rebels coach Latoya Sue, the futsal tournament will become an annual event, but the club is also looking at the possibility of having at least two such tournaments a year.
