TAG giving back $$ to customers
The new promotion, which will see customers receiving up to $3,000 in cash with purchase of select models, comes at a time when the company has increased partnerships in the community.
Mr Gordon U. French, TAG’s Marketing and Sales Executive, told Virgin Islands News Online that the company recently partnered with the Rotary Club of Road Town at the just-concluded Kiddies Fiesta where over 200 children received backpacks with school supplies.
“We also partnered with the West End Community Centre Committee at their back-to-school fair. Our grand cashback promotion is our way of giving back to customers as the cash they earn can be used to purchase school supplies, groceries and travel among others. We encourage persons to take advantage of this offer and also attend our roadshow on September 10,” Mr French stated.
It was pointed out that TAG will be partnering with Scotiabank for the roadshow.
TAG shows 2 VISTS students the ropes
Meanwhile, TAG recently hosted two students from the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS) who gained comprehensive knowledge of the auto industry during their four-week apprenticeship journey at the company’s Slaney Point location.
According to the company, Tyler Jackson and Omar Walker, both age 17, worked along with TAG’s staff, undertaking duties related to car sales, servicing and maintenance, auto body restoration and the Car Quest Auto Parts Store.
“We were happy to host Tyler and Omar, who are full of energy and enthusiastic about their learning experience at TAG,” said Managing Director, Patricia M. Romney.
Romney continued, “We deliberately set about to acquire modern tools and technology in our venture. This was not just to provide the best service to our clients, but to also provide a complete training environment for youth pursuing auto studies at various levels. To be able to achieve this within our first year of operation demonstrates that TAG is serious about its commitment to the development of the Territory.”
Tyler said he enjoyed the experience at TAG, but especially working alongside the certified mechanics.
“The mechanics were very helpful and I was able to identify the various components under the hood. That really excited me. TAG is so peaceful and professional as everyone knows what they are doing,” Tyler pointed out.
For Omar, this was his first job training experience and his first dedicated stint at an auto operation.
“I got an opportunity to really see and appreciate some of the things that I have been learning in the classroom. I got to put them into practice; learning how to interact with customers, parts inventory, and the various vehicle components. It was lovely,” Omar related.

How about competitive pricing? Maybe that would work.
Mainly what he has on display are a few vehicles - some 3 and 4 years old with a price almost that of a new one. He just seems so disorganized. Not sure I want to invest so much money there and not be sure I would get good after-sales service.
