A suspected drowning incident at Timothy Beach Pier in Frigate Bay has resulted in the tragic death of UK national, Jill Low.

The incident occurred on Saturday November 23, between 2pmand 3pm, while Low was snorkeling with her husband at Shitten Bay.

According to preliminary investigations, Low was seen unresponsive in the water during their snorkeling excursion.

The couple was quickly transported to Frigate Bay via the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Coast Guard vessel, and emergency services were immediately called to the scene.

Efforts were made to revive Low, but despite the best attempts of responders, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force has launched an investigation into the incident, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

In a statement, the police force extended its condolences to Low’s family and all those affected by the tragic event.

"The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force expresses sincere condolences to all who have been negatively impacted by this occurrence," the statement said.

The investigation into the suspected drowning continues, with authorities working to understand the circumstances surrounding Low's untimely passing.

I wonder if this is another case where a spouse kills their mate to get insurance money or just tired of them, without having to go through a divorce, to be with their other lover. People come down to our beautiful islands and do a lot of illegal things, and some get away with it. We will wait and see.

Well, at least the name of the Bay says it all!
