I drove past them yesterday and not one of them was directing traffic, but were picking up all of the truck contents. I had to stop and honk my horn to make sure it was safe to go around them so as to not cause another accident.

All that road needs is care and attention when travelling on it. It has been the same hill for over 50 yrs and all of a sudden trucks rolling back, turning over and going over the hill. I drove behind a garbage truck the other morning and the driver stopped in the middle of Gene Hill coming into town to shift gears and stalled. Does Gene Hill need prayers too? We were stuck in traffic because of driver negligence and carelessness.

You Speak the Truth! So many careless drivers on these roads: cell phone users, texters, speed demons, oblivious to how their actions will effect and potentially harm others as well as themselves.
The roads are bad in places, but careless drivers can be encountered in every part of the island.

    Now, that's just willfulness!

These truck drivers need to learn to carry load.

    Hopefully that driver is OK..

    Some may blame the driver.

I blame the poorly maintained roads.

I'm shocked that more of this doesn't happen. No quality controls as to conditions of roads, and it's maintenance!

    So sad!

Help me understand your lack of reasoning. Yes the roads are poorly maintained, but how can you blame the road conditions if items fall out the back of a truck going uphill? It means the door of the truck (if it had one) wasn't properly secured, therefore the driver should be held responsible as he was to ensure the door was closed properly before going on his journey.

PS. Did you even read the article before commenting?

That truck spilled a load of bottled water on that same hill recently. If the door cannot close then it is not safe to transport a large load.

Ayo is something else. A series of things could have gone wrong. Why it had to be the driver being irresponsible in transporting the good? Why it couldn't have been something was in the road? Something went wrong with the vehicle? Suppose the truck wasn't packed properly? Suppose the business was already aware the door doesn't close properly? Instead of you show some empathy and be concerned if the man lived or died...ayo quick to call him an irresponsible driver. I hope when ayo do something wrong on the job which may not been entirely your fault and the boss fire you...just keep quiet cause ayo wish it on somebody else. When you don't know all the facts, sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut until you do. Some ayo need help...
