ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Jacqueline Martin was not at all surprised when she received a telephone call on Friday, October 21 advising her that she was the winner of an all expenses paid trip to her home country of Dominica, compliments of Digicel BVI, a press release stated.

Ms. Martin, who has been a customer of Digicel since launch here in 2008, screamed with excitement when she learnt that she had won the Text to Win competition launched by Digicel some five weeks ago. She was among hundreds who participated by texting the word DOMINICA to shortcode 4868.

“I can’t believe it,” Martin screamed on air, when the draw was announced live on ZROD 103.7FM during Gadheithz’ Morning Ride Show. “I told my friends I was going to win this competition. This is the first time I have won anything from Digicel but I was very confident that this trip was mine!”

She added: “I think Digicel is the best! The offers you give to customers are far better than the others. Thank you Digicel!”

The supermarket employee and a guest of her choice will be flown to Dominica this weekend for the 15th annual World Creole Music Festival, to take place from October 28 through 30 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau.

The theme for the festival, which is sponsored by Digicel Dominica, is “Make a Memory, Come Dance With Us!” The line-up includes Jean-Phillipe Marthely & Joceline Beroard of Kassav; WCK; Third World; Gyptian; Bunji Garlin; Fay-Ann Lyons and Ali Campbell – the legendary voice of UB40.

The package also includes ground transportation, hotel accommodations and tickets to the nightly festival.
