'Supa Cop' alleges being assaulted by Snr Police Officer
According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, well-known police rank Glenn Callwood aka Supa Cop has leveled the allegations against the senior officer.
Mr Callwood was interdicted from duty earlier this year after he was charged with indecent assualt. He was accused of grabbing the private parts of another man.
Efforts to reach Mr Callwood as well as the senior officer for a comment were not successful.
According to a press release from the RVIPF earlier today, October 11, 2013 Police are presently investigating an allegation of assault made by an interdicted officer against a senior officer.
"This investigation will be led by the Commissioner of Police," the press release stated.
It was not stated, however, whether the senior officer has been interdicted from duty and the press release noted that no further details would be released on the matter until the investigation is complete.

I read on another site that it as the deputy Al J who had interdicted Super Cob…
I read this case along with a UK queen's counsel.
for the sake of all the good citizens and residents of this blessed territory bvi of her majesty the queen, let us wish good for the rvipf and the men and women who swore to serve and protect the lives of individuals and the properties of persons and the state.
May the good lord continue to watch over this beautiful islands and guide the citizenry to safety:
I am confident that c.o.p david morris is ably capable of handling such matters and will investigate this case carefully with the help of god and legal advise from the competent members of the office of the dpp.
This free and democratic news site-vino,reporting in this free and democratic bvi did not give the facts and circumstances of this allege assault, and from what i have read, the editor acted quite responsibly in withholding the name of the allege assailant;therefore, bloggers should not attempt to disclose a name,by using initials.in a small country, persons can be identified by their initials..
I enjoy and respect the views of all the liberated bloggers on vino, but bear in mind no one has been charged with a criminal offence relating to this allege assault.
I will prefer to wish good to both officers, and allow the good blessings of god to rein on them.
An assault in its explanatory term is defined as an attempt with "mens rea" malice,to inflict body injury to another or an actual physical-battery "with actus reus-intention to cause injuries to another".
[If it's just a joke by the allege assailant,or just playing around or a touch or a physical greeting, with no criminal intent, the law declares in criminal procedure, that there is no assault, even though the victim dislike the physical greetings.
This case,i am sure, will be resolved very quickly by the dpp,if at all it reaches his desk; and the case will be settled in the interest of the bvi public and the rvipf, and not in the interest of any individual person.
The right to prosecute criminal matters is vested in the dpp under section 59 of the V.I Constitution and a prosecution must be in the interest of the public!
Was there really an assault?
Just a question!
Long live the bvi and its wonderful people.
