Strong support: USVI Gov & Lt Gov attends VIP Gov’t swearing in

USVU Support
With a crowd of over 700 plus people on March 12, 2019, it was the First Sitting of the First Session of the Forth House of Assembly (HoA) that saw 7 new VIP members out of 12 in the HoA being sworn into office and a New Speaker being elected and also sworn in.
It was indeed a rough campaign and even one where a former Legislator, Myron V. Walwyn, who lost his seat attacked our closest neighbours in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) claiming that they were “eating our lunch”.
The VI and the USVI has an over 60-year history of close relation, family, economic and religious ties.
History made - Strong support for VIP
To show the strong bond between both the VI and the USVI—at the Swearing in of the 13 Member HoA and Attorney General—on hand were both the Governor of the USVI Albert Bryan, Jr., and his Lieutenant Governor Tregenza A. Roach Esq.
Never before have both a Governor and Lieutenant Governor travelled together to Tortola after an election to attend a non-campaign function. It was a show of support and strong ties.
In an invited comment the day of the event, Lieutenant Governor Roach said that they are “prepared to build on the strong ties of both Virgin Islands.”
Also on hand was many sitting senators of the USVI and former Governor Charles W. Turnbull who is a Belonger.
