Starz & Bayside Blazers overcome latest challengers
The Starz, like so many others who were surprised by the lack of punishment for the Run It Red outfit after the unpleasant end to the previous week’s game against Bayside Blazers, took it upon themselves to hand out their own brand of justice, sending Run It Red to defeat, although by a narrow margin.
A stellar performance was turned in by Phillip Glasgow who led Starz with a double double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Akito Amaro added 19 points, Dwayne Stoutt 15, and Tafari Winchester 14.
Run It Red’s top effort came from Tavon Phillip who notched 18 points with 12 rebounds. Sean ‘Chino’ Woods added 16 with 11 rebounds, Akeem Titley finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and Raheen Blyden netted 15 points.
The Run It Red versus Blazers game, which ended prematurely the previous week when the referees called the game off with around 4 minutes to play due to the reported indiscipline demonstrated by some Run It Red players over various calls they felt were unfair, apparently will be replayed. However, league officials have yet to release an official statement or confirm if the entire game will be replayed or just be resumed from the point the game was abandoned.
Bayside Blazers down Real Tool
The first game on Friday featured the Blazers, who comfortably maintained their 100% start to the defense of their title by beating Real Tool 110-89.
Real Tool did give the champions a few scares early on but the late arrivals of Frankly L. Penn Junior and Dione M. Blyden settled the nerves and secured the victory.
Blyden finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds, Louie A. Poblete top scored with 21 points, Sandy E. Nadal notched 17 points, Penn Junior 13, Shaquille T. Fonseca 11 with 10 rebounds and Kyle L. Abraham 15 points.
Real Tool’s Ahdan Doward scored 22 points with 14 rebounds, Sherwin Fahie contributed 16, both Carlisle France and Selroy Hanley ended with 14 and Milford Todman 10.
Forfeit win for Junior Starz

Full results from Saturday’s games as well as today’s will follow.
Sunday September 13, 2015 schedule
