St George’s upset Cedar A to reach final of BDO U9 Football League

GREENLAND, Tortola, VI- The finalists for the U7 and the U9 categories of the BDO Primary Schools Football League have been decided.

Enid Scatliffe White will take on Seventh-day Adventists Primary in the U7 Final and St George’s will face Cedar B in the U9 Final at a date yet to be announced.

SDA School were first to secure their place in the U7 Final after edging the previously unbeaten Willard Wheatley Primary 1-nil on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Greenland.

William Vergel scored the lone and important goal for SDA.

Enid Scatliffe White marched into the Final with a 6-nil win over Francis Lettsome Primary on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Earalon Prescott scored a hattrick while Caldon Stewart netted 2 and Kai’eem Blyden scored the other.

The U7 Final is billed to be a keenly contested affair, since the two teams had an intense battle in the group stage. Enid Scatliffe White had prevailed 2-1 on that occasion.

St Georges knock out Cedar A; Cedar B still in the hunt

The Semi-finals of the U9 League created a bit of an upset and lots of tears when St George’s Primary eliminated Cedar A by a 2-nil scoreline on Tuesday.

Kebra Mitchell and Triston D’aguiar were the goal scorers for St George’s.

St George’s aren’t quite through with Cedar School yet as they have to face Cedar B in the Final.

Cedar B squeezed past Ciboney 1-nil, thanks to the lone goal from Alexandre Wilson.

Ciboney were worthy opponents and even looked set to equalise but Cedar B held on to the opportunity to play for the championship.
