Spike in local COVID-19 cases now considered an ‘outbreak’- Dr Georges
In an update this afternoon, July 3, 2021, entitled COVID-19 outbreak in the Virgin Islands, Dr. Geroges said, “Given the current situation, the BVI is currently experiencing multiple clusters of cases of COVID-19 and if not arrested, will progress to community spread.”

He said samples collected from the recent outbreak will be sent to CARPHA laboratories in Trinidad early next week, where genetic sequencing will be carried out to determine if any new variants are presently circulating in the Territory.
“While the Government has not made a decision to implement curfews, lockdowns, and business closures, it is imperative that members of the public take heed to the current situation, take personal responsibility, police themselves, and adhere strictly to the public health measures, good sense, and better judgment,” Dr Georges noted.
He said as a result of the recent spike in cases, aggressive contact tracing has commenced to trace the various sources of the virus.
While Health Minister Hon Malone had announced on live radio that the cases as of Friday, July 2, 2021, were 150, Dr Georges said the cases went up by 5 bringing the total to 155 active cases from a total of 683 tests on the same day.
141 Cases on main island of Tortola
He said Ten (10) of the COVID-19 cases are located on vessels, 141 on the island of Tortola, and 4 on Virgin Gorda. The quarantined cases related to vessels and Virgin Gorda are all related to persons recently traveling to the Territory.
Concerning the 141 cases on the island of Tortola, Dr Geroges revealed that 13 are related to entry quarantine, 23 related to travel exit screening, 65 are contacts of cases and 38 are additional locally derived cases.
"There was one death reported in an elderly person with an intercurrent illness and pre-existing conditions at this time who also tested positive for COVID-19 and determinations are still being made if the death was as a direct result of or coincidental to COVID-19 infection," Dr Geroges indicated.
Speaking to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), Dr Geroges said authorities are currently awaiting lab results to finalise the COVID-19 infection stats for today, Saturday, July 3, 2021.

THEY MAY WANT TO BLAME THE UN-VACCINATED FOR THIS.
We ALL have followed the protocol for about 15 months and had very low cases without the "VACCINE" up until very recent. IN LESS than a week we now has this drastic increase . WHAT HAS HAPPENED , WHEREIS IT COMING FROM????. This can't be blamed on the "un-vaccinated" alone. It is reported that although "vaccinated" persons can still catch and spread the virus.
QUESTIONs: What, if any of these new cases are "vaccinated" persons? Is this question been asked?. Is the Government keeping record of SUCH POSSIBLE events?.
Additionally, what medication are the positive quarantined persons being treated with as they are eventually reported as recovered?. Why is this information being kept a secret form the public?.
THE GOVERNMENT, THE MINISTER AND THE DOCTOR NEEDS TO OFFER MUCH MORE INFO THAN JUST NUMBERS. INFORMATION SEEMS TO BE BEING WITH HELD.
"The data on cases is still being compiled however the preliminary local evidence is showing that 50 percent of cases are unvaccinated, 15 percent partially vaccinated, and 18 percent fully vaccinated, with the status of the remaining 17 percent still to be determined as the data is analysed.
Initial preliminary data also suggests that the vaccinated cases have fewer symptoms."
My perception of this is that vaccination helps but also maybe giving people a false sense of security. In the US, the CDC has stopped counting "breakthrough" cases unless they become severe. I suppose they don't want to decrease confidence in the vaccine any further. As a vaccinated person, I want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly of it. The intentional ignorance of the matter concerns me.
Secondly, this pandemic has been handled poorly by everyone. We missed a chance to actually be accurate and scientific. A more accurate way to measure herd immunity would have been to collect blood to do an antibodies test. The presence of antibodies (particularly in the unvaccinated) would indicate that there was an infection or is an ongoing infection. Everyone who went for vaccines should have done this before getting the jab. This information would have been vital to epidemiologists who are tracking the virus. Now that people have been vaccinated the only way to conduct this study is by using information from the unvaccinated. Vaccinated people will give skewed results since they might have antibodies from the vaccine and not from infection.
Thirdly, why is herd immunity around the world only being counted in terms of vaccination? People who have had COVID should have antibodies but they are being disregarded. If a woman had COVID and she is breast feeding, her child should have some level of protection as well as antibodies can past through breast milk. But all of this is being ignored because only chosen doctors and scientist can read and think apparently. If the information doesn't come from the appointed sources it's supposed to be tossed away, even if it's common sense.
Lastly, when can we have Ivermectin? It's cheap at the moment because there's no patent so any pharmaceutical company should be able to make it. It's been around since the 60's so we have extensive data on its effects on the human body. We know it has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties though it's a drug use mainly for parasites. It works on dengue, zika, cold and flu viruses and even other corona viruses. It's been show to be effective against COVID at all stages. Pre-COVID, it can reduce your chances of contracting covid and lessen viral load if you do. During COVID it can reduce severity of symptoms, even severe symptoms. Even people suffering from long term COVID symptoms have seen an improvement of their symptoms. I've read testimonials of people who took it when they thought they were going to die or need a ventilator and they saw improvement within 24hrs.
This is something that should be worth looking into but instead the FDA is refusing to grant hospitals in the US permission to use Ivermectin off label and they are refusing to let research labs conduct offical research. Meanwhile on google and academic journal sites, they are propagandizing the drug. The first thing that comes up is, "Why you shouldn't use Ivermectin to treat COVID." The logic is it hasn't been tested bit neither has the vaccine.
Just remember last year the media and WHO knew COVID didn't come from a lab but today it's the leading hypothesis. People were censored last year if they said something that is okay to say today. What will we know next year that is being censored now?

There may be visitors who will probably go to a private institution to obtain a COVID-19 test prior to leaving their countries and once a fee is charged, the visitor can manipulate the doctor to produce a negative result to travel. When that visitor arrive here and no quarantine is enforce, then we are bound to have a spike in the numbers of cases.
Ivermectin is a brand of broad spectrum antiretroviral medication that is used as a prophylactic, to control both internal and external parasites. In veterinary medicine, some veterinarian administered ivermectin to control both internal and external parasites in animals. This has proved to be very effective and the nutritional requirement will help with the sustainability of animals. As such in human beings there must not be a compromise in the nutritional requirement of COVID patients.
Ivermectin is approved for human use by the FDA, it just doesn't have approval for off label use. Offically, Ivermectin is not approved for use in treating COVID but I find the preliminary research coming out of countries that have tried it to be compelling.
It is not an uncommon thing to repurpose a drug for something other than whst it was created for. Tamoxifin, for example is a drug used to treat some types of breast cancer but has been shown to be effective in treating bipolar disorder as well. It's not uncommon for animals and humans to share drug treatments either. Sometimes the only difference between treating a pet and a person is dosage levels. Some antibiotics and OTC medications are safe for both humans and animals.
The notion that Ivermectin interest stems from misinformation is groundless. Information is intentionally being suppressed and ignored. I have yet to see one good argument as to why Ivermectin should not at least be researched. This is very unscientific and worrying. From the scientific perspective, the discussion to dismiss should only come after there is enough evidence to indicate that a conclusion is false. Ivermectin has not met these conditions. There are enough doctors around the world willing to testify on the drug's behalf and they are being ignored.
Through the actions of authorities this past year, the only logical conclusion is truth and objectivity is not the actual goal. People have died because this whole pandemic has been more about politics and control rather than actually helping people. All our lives have been put in jeapordy with no real out clause as we are being silenced in every front unless we repeat the same narrative. People are actively being discouraged from using their critical thinking skills and being told they are too dumb so they should just sit down, shut up and do what they are told. We've some how lost the ability to convince the people we've elected to listen to us and be our voice.
Funny enough, there have been a few drugs that have been developed to treat COVID that are in the testing phase right now. I haven't looked into it yet but it would not surprise me to see that the active ingredients are just the chemical twins of the active ingredients in Ivermectin. I suppose those drugs, however, will have a patent.
Not enough resources.
And most of them (said people )are functional illiterates.
Out of necessity the only way to demonstrate current reality will be body counts and a UK takeover.
