Some persons 'sick like dogs’ & refusing to test for COVID-19- VI Epidemiologist
As of July 5, 2021, the Virgin Islands had 480 confirmed active cases of the virus present in the territory and, according to Brewley-Messiah in a Facebook post on July 5, 2021, some persons are not co-operating with health authorities.
“So many persons are calling the unit sick like dogs and some are not only refusing to test, but don’t want to give us information so we can inform contacts,” she said.
She said those who refuse to test are comparing symptoms, or asking about recovery times and natural herb-based medicines they can take to fight the virus.

“One night I got frantic messages and then a call from an exposed person, who admitted they have been experiencing symptoms for approx. a week. They haven’t resolved and now are coughing up blood. They; however, don't want to test for Covid nor go to the ER,” she said.
Ms Brewley-Messiah continued, “Since I couldn’t convince them. I asked an HCP [Healthcare practitioner] to talk to them. Nothing. Would not budge.”
She said behaviours such as those have placed health authorities in a precarious position both ethically and psychologically, “Cause if you end up dying…. or even someone in your household. Then what?” the National Epidemiologist questioned.

In a late-night COVID-19 update on July 5, 2021, following an emergency cabinet meeting to address the situation, Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) urged all persons in the territory to do their part and follow the COVID-19 policies and guidelines.
Ms Brewley-Messiah in her plea to residents further warned that COVID-19 is not the flu and should not be played with.

I personally know one doing this nonsense. They sick like a week now & no matter how I push them to go get tested they refuse & yes they out around other people. This is one of the reasons why we in the $h!t we in because of stupid & ignorant people

Persons who are ill and are not close or disinterested of getting vaccinated, I suggest boiling up all of the bushes that your elders used- black wattle, lemon grass, worry wine, mint, moringa,-among others, and drink as a concoction!
Trust me, the disease will be gone in two weeks!
Of course, if you're feeling deadly ill, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION!
If your just sufferring midly, then the concoctions should work!
