WHITE BAY, Jost van Dyke, VI- Soggy Dollar has made a three-peat, earning the number one spot on USA Today’s 10 Best Beach Bars in the Caribbean (2026) for an unforgettable time for the third year in a row.

The Jost van Dyke beach bar is best known for its rum cocktail, Painkiller, which features cream of coconut, pineapple, orange juice, and freshly grated Grenadian nutmeg.

“Enjoy sipping on one as you look out over the beautiful turquoise water and bask in the warmth of the Caribbean sun,” USA Today said.

The list is independently selected by the outlet’s editors and readers.

In a Facebook post, Soggy Dollar thanked its staff for making the win possible for three years in a row.

“There’s only one way we win Best Beach Bar in the Caribbean year after year...undoubtedly de' best staff in the BVI Cheers to the Soggy Squad! Well deserved, and earned! Appreciate everyone who voted and shared the Soggy love! Squad Up!”

The BVI Tourist Board (BVITB) also congratulated the winners via its Facebook page, writing, “Soggy Dollar Bar has claimed the coveted #1 spot…this Jost van Dyke icon serves up rum, turquoise views, and pure island bliss.”

Poor Man’s Bar moves up 1 spot

Poor Man’s Bar on Virgin Gorda also made this year’s list, coming in at number four.

“The bar makes stellar painkillers as well as frozen margaritas, piña coladas, and other drinks featuring plenty of fresh tropical fruit. The bar is located right by The Baths, an amazing collection of granite boulders surrounding gorgeous beaches and secret rock pools,” USA Today said.

The bar recognised its achievements by writing on Facebook, “We did it, family and friends! Moved up a spot to become the 4th Best Caribbean Beach Bar 2026. Big THANK YOU to everyone for your continued support and all your votes. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

Poor Man’s Bar also sent congratulations to their “friends” at Soggy Dollar for their win, adding that this keeps “the BVI on top in the Caribbean”.

The BVITB also recognised the bar, writing, “Shoutout to Poor Man’s Bar on Virgin Gorda, which landed 4th place, bringing the party with killer cocktails right by The Baths!”

Maybe because it’s the easiest to get to, clear in, and get back to St Thomas.
