ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- VI-Well-known Soca artist from Virgin Gorda, Adam O (Adam L. O'Neal), was officially presented with the CIBC Award for Musical Performance, the Stage Award—“Performer of the Year" recently. He received this honour during the Virgin Islands Icon Awards, which took place on July 6, 2025.

Unfortunately, Adam O was unable to attend the event due to prior commitments. However, knowing he was coming home, the team presented him with his trophy and gifts at the Charlie Neil Frett Festiville during rehearsal on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Adam O is a celebrated Virgin Islands (VI) singer, songwriter, producer, and actor, recognised for his vibrant music and stage presence.

He is known for his versatile style that blends Soca, Kompa, Zouk, and Afro music with R&B. In addition to his musical career, Adam O is also a digital creator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, known for his engaging social media content and community involvement.

'Heaviest Award'

His hit songs include "Warming Up," "She Ready," "Stress Bout Dat," "iNeed," and "Wine & Dip."

Upon receiving the award, Adam O stated, "I won't say this is my first award, but this is the heaviest award I have ever had in my life. Thank you to the people of the Virgin Islands and everyone around the world who voted for me. I believe the love of the people is the greatest gift in life, and I am grateful to everyone who helped put this together. I feel we don’t get celebrated enough as a collective, and this means a lot to me. I hope I can open the door for someone else to receive awards like this."
